Asthma in childhood tutorial

Asthma can occur at any age, but most often develops in childhood.

Up to 20% of children have some degree of asthma. For many children their asthma will reoccur when they are adults. Asthma diagnosed as mild, will in some children, develop into severe asthma. Asthma is one of the most common diseases in the world and it is increasing dramatically.

Coughing, wheezing, and shortness of breath are classic symptoms of asthma, however quite often children do not display these symptoms. Rapid respirations, noisy breathing, and chest congestion are all symptoms of childhood asthma.
