Asthma in pregnancy tutorial

The best way to have a healthy baby is to have a healthy mother.  It is very important to treat your asthma especially during pregnancy, because the risks of uncontrolled asthma are greater than the risks of necessary asthma medications, and a moderate to severe asthma attack can cause medical problems for both you and your baby.

See your doctor soon after discovering you are pregnant to discuss the best way to manage your asthma and what medications to take.  He or she will prescribe effective medications that are appropriate for use during pregnancy, and will continue to work with you throughout your pregnancy to ensure your treatment is effective, without side effects.
