Heart and blood circulation tutorials

The heart pumps blood around the body through an extensive network of blood vessels. You may hear the heart and blood vessels referred to as the cardiovascular system. This system has a number of roles. The circulating blood transports substances around the body – supplying tissues with oxygen and nutrients, and removing waste products. It also helps to maintain the balance of water and salts in the body, and the blood vessels in the skin play an important role in regulating body temperature
