IBD - Inflammatory bowel disease tutorial
IBD stand for Inflammatory Bowel Disease. IBD describes ulcerative colitis (UC), and Crohn's disease (CD), which are very similar, but nevertheless, two different diseases. This tutorial first explains the structure of the gut, and then describes the potentiala causes of IBD. It covers the typical symptoms for each disease and the tests your doctor may use to diagnose them. Finally, the medications and types of surgeries used for UC and CD are described.
